The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is a global humanitarian aid, relief, and development nongovernmental organization. Founded in 1933 as the International Relief Association, at the request of Albert Einstein, and changing its name in 1942 after amalgamating with the similar Emergency Rescue Committee, the IRC provides emergency aid and long-term assistance to refugees and those displaced by war, persecution, or natural disaster. The IRC is currently working in about 40 countries and 26 U.S. cities where it resettles refugees and helps them become self-sufficient.

Vacancy Details for IRC Job Circular 2026:
- Bachelor’s degree in international development, law, human rights, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years’ professional experience in managing protection programs on humanitarian response, with specific experience in protection programming in emergency or post conflict settings, with strict security rules.
- At least 3–5 years in a senior coordination, managerial, or technical leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience in Cox’s Bazar/Rohingya response or similar complex humanitarian settings is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in Protection Cluster representation, inter-agency coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong experience in business development, including proposal writing, donor engagement, and program design.
- Experience working with multi-functional teams including advocacy, communications, MEAL, and operations.
- Demonstrated track record in managing project implementation and ensuring timely delivery against targets.
Required Competencies and Skills
- Strong understanding of protection principles, humanitarian architecture, coordination mechanisms, and rights-based programming.
- Excellent program management, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and representation skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent writing and communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to safeguarding and protection principles.
