Founded in 1933 as the International Relief Association, at the request of Albert Einstein, and changing its name in 1942 after amalgamating with the similar Emergency Rescue Committee, the IRC provides emergency aid and long-term assistance to refugees and those displaced by war, persecution, or natural disaster. The IRC is currently working in about 40 countries and 26 U.S. cities where it resettles refugees and helps them become self-sufficient.

Vacancy Details for IRC Job Circular 2026:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree with concentration in Human Resource Management.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant work, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts.
  • Prior exposure to working with displaced populations or marginalized communities is highly valued.
  • Work experience in an English-speaking context

  • Hands-on experience in end-to-end recruitment processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, team spirit, and ability to work independently.
  • Proven capacity to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Flexibility and resilience under pressure, with a track record of delivering on time.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.

Highlights of Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Selection

  • Assist with recruitment processes, including receiving RRFs, updating recruitment trackers, and maintaining recruitment files.
  • Support vacancy announcements, CV screening, written tests, interviews, and candidate communication.
  • Coordinate interview logistics and support interview panels with required documents and guidance.
  • Escalate any recruitment-related compliance concerns to the Senior Manager – People & Culture.

Training & Meeting Support

  • Assist in organizing training sessions, workshops, and other learning activities, including scheduling, invitations, materials, and logistics.
  • Maintain training records and support the collection of participant feedback.
  • Assist in arranging People & Culture meetings, preparing meeting materials, taking minutes, and following up on action points.

Employee Engagement & People Operations

  • Support initiatives that promote staff engagement, inclusion, teamwork, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Promote awareness of safeguarding, IRC values, and People & Culture policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure proper handling of employee and recruitment information.
  • Support staff and supervisors with leave-related queries and documentation
  • Assist in drafting and circulating People & Culture-related circulars, memos, letters, notices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
