Vacancy Details for IUCN Job Circular 2026:
Education
- -Master’s degree in Geography, Forestry, Environmental Science, Zoology, Wildlife Biology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Database Management, or another relevant discipline from a recognized university.
- -Candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with an additional one (1) year of relevant professional experience demonstrating the required competencies will also be considered.
Training and Experience
- -Minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in data entry, database management, information management, or programme support functions, preferably within NGOs, conservation organizations, research institutions, or international development projects.
- -Demonstrated experience in managing large datasets while ensuring data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and quality.
- -Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with experience using databases, spreadsheets, and digital information management systems.
- -Experience with GIS data management, spatial datasets, or biodiversity databases will be considered an asset.
- -Knowledge of biodiversity information systems, species assessment processes, or the IUCN Red List methodology is desirable.
- -Experience supporting web-based information systems, mobile applications, or online databases is an advantage.
- -Willingness to undertake field travel and work in both office and field environments as required.
- -Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- -Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and consistently meet deadlines.
